SAN JOSE, February 2nd, 2012: The VIII edition of the Annual Bilingual Job Fair organized by the Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE) will take place from February 10th through February 12th. More than 39 multinational leading companies in the medical industry and services sector, and recruiting firms will offer an estimated 7,000 job opportunities during this year´s edition. The activity will take place in the Antigua Aduana, in Barrio La California.
Financial analysts, accountants, project managers, engineers in the fields of quality, systems, mechanics, electro mechanics, and electric are among the most sought out profiles. Companies are also looking for professionals specializing in software development, web design, technical support, accounting technicians, electronics, microbiologists and customer service executives. Additionally, the presence of recruiting firms will allow participants to evacuate any doubts and include their curriculums in any of the three firm´s data bases.
Gabriela Llobet, CINDE´s Director General, highlighted the trust the multinational companies have in Costa Rica´s talented young workforce, creating a significant number of new employment opportunities at a national level.
“This year we have a larger number of companies participating in the Fair. This clearly proofs the confidence that multinational companies have on our human resource, creating diverse and higher added value opportunities. It is important to highlight that this companies account for a high percentage of the national employment levels. In 2011 alone, 7,728 jobs were created, which represented 30% of the total employment level in the private sector and 13% of the country´s total employment” explained Llobet.

Companies are looking for professionals who have knowledge of English, French, Portuguese, German, Dutch, among others.

Company representatives all agree that this event is a great two way window of opportunity that works for people looking for high quality employment and for companies looking to acquire talent.

This company established their operation in Costa Rica in 2002 and currently has 1,000 employees specializing in the production of orthopedic surgical devices, neurological devices, and ear, nose, and throat devices, among others. They are looking to hire workers in the areas of supply chains, human resources, engineering and regulatory issues.Along this line, TeleTech is in the search of ideal employees that will add on to the already 1,300 collaborators who provide services from their plant in Calle Blancos, Goicoechea.

TeleTech started operating four years ago, in a facility that provides customer service and business processes support.
Having established only a year ago, Curtiss Wright has already exceeded the company´s expectations. “We participated in the 2011 Bilingual Job Fair and were very pleased with the results we got. This year we are looking to hire the same number of candidates in a short amount of time, as well as feeding our data base with potential candidates”, stated Julian Jarquin, Operation Manager of the company located in Lagunilla of Heredia.

Companies will not be receiving paper resumes, only digital versions. Participants are advised to carry the document in a flash drive, cd or upload it to the empleo.com website that will be up during the Fair.

CINDE´s Bilingual Job Fair has gathered more than 50,000 people during its seven other editions. CINDE is estimating that at least 8,000 people will attend this edition.

• Friday 10th and Saturday 11th from 9:00am to 5:00pm
• Sunday 12th from 10:00am to 4:00pm
